elindra SG x2 To think my scaled down version I find it stressful liao Heck I didn't even arrange the seats It was free seating
elindra SG Not new la I never deal with her My colleague does But my colleague is on leave and she did warn me that she is damn bloody blur
Wanda SG I think it's sheer madness! And to think that is the "dream" of most gals wanting to get married? It must be the couple's national day parade of their lives. Sorry ah...no offence to anyone.
the Bear SG i wonder if i do find Mrs Bear, and we get married, she'll say okay to having a pool party instead get caterers, get a few kegs... come as you are.. enjoy the day/night
Wanda SG Ya...something like that is fine. Mine was just ROM followed by a lunch for immediate / close family members in a pte room at the restaurant. I told SO he couldn't get any other cheaper deal.
elindra SG Hmmm it was not my dream Never thought about how I want my wedding to be like How I want my dress to be like etc Heck I married earlier than I wanted too just coz of the HDB We were planning to get married when I was 28 but got married at 26 instead And coz we bought the HDB real fast And got the keys real fast We had to get married real fast too if we wanted the grant But I guess it's good that I really hate going to ceremonies (I would have skipped my graduation ceremonies if my mum didn't drag me there) and that our parents really didn't care how we wanted to marry (Though we couldn't just get away with just signing the paper; would have done that if I could get away with it) So in the end it was a buffet thingy with free seating Actually hor my wedding really no frills Didn't even get a wedding gown (I know my mum was disappointed) And no studio pics
tare SG even IF i do ever get marry again, i doubt i'll go thru all that.... my parents prob won't pressure me for banquets [they can't even for the 1st time]... but i dun mind the wedding gowns and photography and honeymoon....
the Bear SG yeah.. the recent one i was MC for, it was.. 10 tables.. grew to 12.. to 15.. to 20, 25.. then finally 35 tables
elindra SG Yrs kinda like mine but mine was dinner And we had 13 tables Supposed to be 3 only then my Grandma wanted to invite this aunty and that aunty and uncle blah blah blah Then to be fair my husband side have to invite ppl too Could have been more but I told my mum to talk to them coz if I had to add another table, I'm cancelling everything and just ROM and put an annoucement ad in the papers that we are married
Wanda SG ^5 on the no wedding gown and no studio pics, and I was dragged by my mum to take graduation photo at the studio...(we almost fought on that one, so I had to give in ). After we were married, we once stepped into a photo studio just to see if we want to take studio pic....and my! The amount of touting once we stepped in was enough to make us run out of the shop within minutes. We never made any enquries again.
elindra SG Mine ballooned from 3 to 13 tables It happens And if you don't put your foot down it WILL get bigger We had ours at Meritius Mandarin (We have good memories there) and had the food from Triple 3
elindra SG ^5 SAME! Even on the Graduation Photo at studio!!!! I was telling Mr Pinky Bear if we want more pics I rather take nice holiday pics and I might just ask kopio to do it for us once we decide on a destination (still arguing over it)
elindra SG Anyway Bear I like your idea of a wedding I saw one at Fishemen's Village There was a wedding dinner there and everyone was in T-shirt and berms and just drinking beer and having fun I mean that is how it should be like Is there really a need for the gowns and make-up and such when all you want is to celebrate a happy event
